2023年11月2日、アラバマ大学のTeresa E. Wise氏（Associate Provost of International Education and Global Outreach）、Amy Taylor氏（Director of English Language Institute）、Tori Jessen氏（Associate Director of International Partnerships and Scholarships）が国際人間科学部を訪問されました。懇談には国際人間科学部から、井上弘貴教授、高田義弘准教授、篠原華子助教が出席し、留学型（中期）GSコースのアラバマ大学プログラムについて意見交換を行いました。その後、アラバマ大学に留学した2名の学生およびこれから留学する5名の学生が加わり、学生懇談の機会を持ちました。学生はGSPのフィールド学修で取り組むグローバルイシューについて説明し、アラバマ大学やアメリカ文化に関する質疑応答を行いました。 GSPでは今年度より、アラバマ大学への留学プログラムを再開いたしました。留学プログラムの実施を通して、アラバマ大学との交流を深めることが期待されます。

On November 2nd, 2023, Dr. Teresa E. Wise, Associate Provost of International Education and Global Outreach, Ms. Amy Taylor, Director of English Language Institute, and Dr. Tori Jessen, Associate Director of International Partnerships and Scholarships from the University of Alabama, visited the Faculty of Global Human Sciences, Kobe University. From the faculty, Dr. Hirotaka Inoue, Dr. Yoshihiro Takada, and Dr. Hanako Shihnohara attended the meeting and discussed the study abroad program at the English Language Institution. After that, they had another meeting with students of the faculty: two students for the Fall term in 2023 and five students for the spring session in 2024. Students talked about their research topics and asked some questions about the University of Alabama and American culture and society. The Global Studies Program reopened the study abroad program at the University of Alabama this year. We aim to increase interactions between the two universities.
